Jeffrey S. Peterson, M.D. - Northern
California Institute of Sports Medicine
Born
in Long Beach, California, Dr. Jeffrey Peterson did his undergraduate work
at the University of California, Berkeley before moving on to the Boston
University School of Medicine to get his M.D. in 1996. He completed a
surgical internship and an emergency medicine residency at Stanford
University Medical Center. He has also completed an emergency medicine
research fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center
and a sports medicine fellowship with Stanford Sports Medicine. Dr.
Peterson is currently practicing as a sports medicine physician at
Stanford University Hospital as well as the Center for Sports Medicine at
O'Connor Hospital in San Jose, California. He is also a clinical
instructor in Emergency Medicine at the Stanford University Hospital.
Despite his busy life, Jeff has a true love of sports and works hard to
make time for physical activity. He is an avid swimmer, surfer, runner and
cyclist. He is also a competitive triathlete and a marathon runner.
